Mix 500g of oatmeal « La Bigoudenne » into 2 litres (at least) of liquid (sweet milk or water) in a deep thick saucepan. Thicken the mixture whilst stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Cover the saucepan and let it simmer on a low heat for 30 minutes at least. Before serving, stir it again.
Add salt or sugar to taste.
Serve with melted butter.
